I am not a fine art photographer. I am a PhD dropout – but that is a different story. Every photo I take is not perfect. I love the spontaneity, rawness and realness of life and love that is ever so present on a wedding day. Sometimes it is not pretty. Sometimes it is blurry. Sometimes it is straight up kooky. But those are the moments that make your wedding day yours.
Life is not perfect. Love is not perfect. Weddings are never perfect. Celebrating and embracing the natural asymmetry and flow of life, love and wedding days is a beautiful thing. Appreciate the simple things. Embrace the irregularity. Celebrate the wildness. Make the vows you share the most important thing about your wedding day. Notice how the clouds look as you walk down the aisle. Love the way your groom holds your hand during cocktail hour and savor the first time he calls you his wife. Those details are simple and beautiful and uniquely yours. Those are the things that I want to document.
